Skrillex excites fans with listening party and social media post – We Rave You

Having officially announced his departure from Atlantic Records last year, Skrillex seemed poised to deliver more new music soon. Although he has yet to formally release anything, the American producer has been sending fans new tracks directly to their emails following a direct signup link on his website. The latest era saw him return to Miami for a massive main stage appearance at Ultra Music, and he will also be hosting a private listening party today in the same city at 8 pm EST. Bolstering the excitement and speculation is his latest post to social media, where a collection of tracks are cut up with an infomercial style voiceover announcing that “We got the hard drive. Every thing must go” and a young girl saying ‘Skrillex is dead.”

The short clip, played over a plain black screen, ends with a vocal of Skrillex singing what appears to be an unreleased track. Tomorrow is April 1st, so there is some concern that the iconic producer is toying with his fans, but most are more optimistic. With the combination of the social media and the listening party scheduled, fans everywhere will be crossing their fingers that new music from Skrillex will officially hit streaming services tomorrow.
