Owen Jenner's heartbreaking social media post just hours before death in Oulton Park crash – Daily Star

Owen Jenner's final post before his Oulton Park crash has left fans heartbroken.
The 21-year-old and fellow racer Shane Richardson, 29, were fatally injured in a devastating 11-bike crash during the British Supersport Championship race. The incident occurred on turn one of the first lap in a British Supersport Championship race.
Paramedics attended the scene to treat the injured, but a joint statement from British Superbikes and MotorSport Vision Racing later confirmed that two racers had died and six other riders were injured. Including Tom Tunstall, who was left with severe back and abdominal injuries following the crash
The statement read: "At the start of this afternoon's Quattro Group British Supersport Championship race at Oulton Park, exiting turn one, Old Hall corner on the first lap, there was a chain reaction incident involving 11 riders falling. The race was immediately stopped and trackside medical services were deployed.
"Due to the extreme severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship event was cancelled. This catastrophic accident has tragically resulted in two riders being fatally injured, and another sustaining significant injuries.
"Owen Jenner (21) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre, where despite further resuscitation treatment, he died from a catastrophic head injury.
"Shane Richardson (29) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre before being transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital with severe chest injuries. He died prior to arrival."
Ahead of the fateful race, Jenner shared a picture of himself in action on his Instagram story posted on Monday morning, captioned: "P13 yesterday, see what today brings." Along with another snap at the track that read: "Back on the Grid".
Jenner raced for Honda Racing. Their statement read: "The motorcycle community is tightly knit and we share the profound sadness at the outcome of today's accident at Oulton Park. Our thoughts are with the riders, their families, friends, team members and the entire BSB paddock. We go through days like this as one community."

Cheshire Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident on behalf of the coroner. "Police are investigating two deaths on behalf of the coroner following a multiple collision at Oulton Park this afternoon (Monday 5 May)" the statement reads.
"Emergency services were called to the scene following the collision which resulted in two riders being fatally injured and another with serious injuries. Due to the severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the event was cancelled.
"The two riders who tragically lost their lives have been identified as Owen Jenner (21) and Shane Richardson (29). The Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board and MotorSport Vision Racing are investigating the full circumstances of the incident in conjunction with the Coroner and Cheshire Police."
