FIRST Bus has confirmed it is “urgently investigating” social media posts by staff.
The Telegraph & Argus was told two drivers based in Bradford had both been suspended for allegedly posting “hateful content” on their social media accounts. 
The T&A asked First Bus about this matter and a spokesperson said: “First Bus North and West Yorkshire is fully committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment, both within our organisation and in the communities we serve.
“We take any allegations or incidents of racism extremely seriously.
“We have been made aware of social media posts by staff and are urgently investigating these in accordance with our internal procedures.
“Discriminatory language and behaviour has no place in First Bus and we will not tolerate any form of racist content posted or shared on social media, including personal accounts.
“This is an ongoing investigation and we are unable to disclose further details at this time.”
